The drug is the dried rhizome of Abacopteris penangiana (Hook.) Ching (family Thelypteridaceae), growing in wet sites under woods or along creeks, and distributed in the most provinces of China.
Property
Astringent, bitter, cool.
Actions
It is used to stop bleeding, disperse blood stasis, promote tissue regenation and dispel dampness; for the treatment of metrorrhagia, dysentery, traumatic injury.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 9~18 g, or soaked in wine.
