Properties: This product is a brown to reddish-brown coated concentrated water pill. After removing the coating, it appears dark brown; the taste is bitter.
Functions and indications: Promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, relaxing tendons and dredging collaterals. It is used for stroke caused by phlegm and blood stasis blocking the collaterals. Symptoms include hemiplegia, numbness, astringent speech, and crooked tongue.
